February 1st, 2007 by Micah SchaefferIt was frustrating dealing with all the downtime in Overture Inventory while I was doing keyword research for the case study blogs. More often than not it timed out and I had to start over.
Hence I was pleased to see that Wordtracker, which I’m too tight to buy for the little keyword research I need, is now offering a free service for basic keyword research. Kudos to them.
It works just like Overture but without the delays and timeouts.

Overture is pretty much dead from what I understand. Thanks for the link Micah. I’m with you about paying for keyword tools. Give me something that will give me an idea of how often something is searched for and I’m happy.

And here is the KeywordDiscovery.com - Free keyword research tool. Another great free alternative for the Overture tool.
Gives the top 100 results per search from a 35 Billion keyword database.
