If you want to join the podcasting wave but either don’t like recording your own voice, or simply don’t have the time, Odiogo now has a Wordpress plugin that generates a podcast from your RSS feed.

The voice quality is still a bit robotic but better than I was expecting. They incorporate ads into the podcast (surprise, surprise) so run your own test before installing the addon.

I’m not sure this is going to be a sustainable business model for them but we shall see.

According to this report in the Wall Street Journal it’s pretty easy for a blogger to pull in the big bucks. It does show that just about any niche can earn you a decent living. No need to build those mesitholemiamathoma (or however you spell it) blogs after all.

I’m not convinced Google is making us dumber, but it’s certainly making us less patient.

Remember going to the library to look up something? Not anymore. Just Google it. If their spam algorithms are working this month, the information is right there. If they aren’t, it’s on page six.

Out attention span decreases with every dose of instant gratification. We get frustrated if we can’t find the information NOW.

Think I’m going to turn off the computer and read a book.

I’m on the point of giving up with MyBlogLog.

Their site is slow and often unreachable. There are many times during the day that their widget causes this blog to load slowly.

The spammers have arrived in bulk, I guess they were frightened away from MySpace marketing� by the recent lawsuits. I’m spending too much time deleting spam comments from my profile. Their spam reporting link just launches a blank email to be bugs at mybloglog.com. What a joke.

It just isn’t worth the aggravation for the little traffic it brings.

If you decide to ignore my advice and submit your articles to multiple directories, there’s a nice list of directories ranked by Alexa traffic at SEO Researcher.

The last article I posted at EzineArticles received about 20 visitors directly from their site within 24 hours, so it may be worth submitting to a couple more Alexa ranked sites just for the direct traffic.

It was frustrating dealing with all the downtime in Overture Inventory while I was doing keyword research for the case study blogs. More often than not it timed out and I had to start over.

Hence I was pleased to see that Wordtracker, which I’m too tight to buy for the little keyword research I need, is now offering a free service for basic keyword research. Kudos to them.

It works just like Overture but without the delays and timeouts.
